What we do

Electrical compliance
from inspection to cert

From routine COC inspections to full fault-finding and rectification — we handle every step so you get your certificate without the runaround.

COC Inspections

Full electrical inspection of your property in accordance with SANS 10142. We assess the DB board, earthing, wiring, and all circuits before issuing your certificate.

🔍
Fault Finding & Rectification

Failed a previous inspection? We locate and fix non-compliant wiring, faulty earth leakage, overloaded circuits, and illegal connections — then re-inspect on site.

🏘️
Residential COC

Selling your home? We work directly with you ensure your COC is in place before transfer date.

🏢
Commercial COC

Offices, retail spaces, warehouses, and sectional title properties. We handle large-scale inspections with minimal disruption to your operations.

🔌
DB Board Upgrades

Outdated distribution boards are the most common reason for failing a COC. We supply and install compliant DB boards, earth leakage breakers, and surge protection.

Before we arrive

COC inspection
safety precautions

A COC inspection involves live electrical equipment. These precautions protect you, your household, and our electricians during the visit.

🏠 What you must do before the inspection
01
Ensure DB board access

Clear any obstructions in front of or around the distribution board. Our electrician needs unhindered access to all circuit breakers and the earth leakage unit.

02
Keep children and pets away from the work area

During the inspection, circuit breakers will be switched on and off and panels may be opened. Keep children and animals in a separate, closed room for the duration.

03
Do not touch electrical panels or wiring yourself

Never attempt to open, adjust, or reset your DB board before or during the inspection. Interfering with live equipment without the correct PPE can be fatal.

04
Switch off sensitive equipment

Power down desktop computers, servers, fish tanks, medical equipment, and smart home hubs before the inspection begins — circuit switching can cause brief surges.

05
Disclose known faults upfront

If you are aware of any exposed wiring, burning smells, tripping breakers, or previous DIY electrical work, inform our electrician immediately upon arrival — before the inspection starts.

Important legal notice

In South Africa, only a registered electrician may issue a Certificate of Compliance. Performing electrical work without registration under the Electrical Installation Regulations (2009) is a criminal offence. If you suspect unlicensed work has been done on your property, disclose this to us before the inspection — it affects your liability as the property owner.
